i think i finally know what i'm trying to say.
i got here intellectually. i can build the cathedral in my head: Logos, consciousness, love, idols, kenosis. living in it is harder. i'm still a junkie feeding loops i already know.
the world can look black as fuck. but even then, we know it's black. pain means something good can be damaged. loss means something valuable existed. evil looks like deformation.
that's what i mean by Logos: reality has syntax, and somehow we're nodes inside it able to read some of it. same world, different render. consciousness doesn't create reality; it receives a world bigger than itself, and others can correct the render.
an idol is what happens when a tool becomes the destination. pleasure, status, knowledge, even awakening can become loops that eat attention and turn us inward.
Venus shines because the Sun hits it. the light is real, but it isn't Venus' own.
maybe that's Nobody: all of us, insofar as we stay nobody enough for the Light to pass through.
the moment i say "i am the source", gift becomes ego and the fall starts.
kenosis is the opposite: surrendering possession. that's freedom, because nothing finite owns you.
Christ is where this stops being a diagram. the Logos becomes flesh, enters suffering, dies, and says death doesn't get the last word.
God isn't a dealer keeping us on a pleasure drip. He's a Father. love needs a real other and freedom to leave.
loving your neighbor doesn't compete with loving God. if God is the ground of Being and Love itself, real love is participation in Him. communion is the point. Church and sacrament keep the private render open.
maybe heaven isn't cosmic fentanyl. maybe it's reality no longer fighting its source.
