Cooking Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I have a couple of filets of salmon I'm going to be cooking in an hour or two; does anyone have any neat ideas as to how I should prepare them? Last time I cooked fish, I poached it in cream with some capers. This time I'm leaning towards just searing it in some olive oil with salt & pepper.
